Carers of people with dementia

Devon Carers offers support to anyone in Devon with significant caring responsibilities. We recognise that caring for someone with dementia brings with it its own set of challenges.

If you are caring for a family member or friend over the age of 65 who has mental health issues, you will find information here to support you in your caring role.

You may also want to look at the pages for carers of people of working age with mental health issues.

These pages are also for you if you are caring for someone of any age who is living with dementia.

Diagnosis of dementia can be difficult – you may also find this information helpful if you think your friend/relative has dementia, but has not had a formal diagnosis.

Click here to view a directory of resources (organisations, sources of support, equipment, places to visit and more) which will support your caring  role.
